Welcome to my Home

Welcome to my blogspot.  I believe this is a record: 2 updates in the same month....whoa! God is moving!

Not much is going on in my life lately.  So, I just posted a bunch of pictures to make up for my lack of words.

I'm in week 8 of my school (there's a total of 12 weeks).  This week, we're learning the foundations of community development.  With this subject, we will learn how to go into a community, assess it, and work with the local people on bringing help to the community and to see communities the way God sees them.

The students are doing great.  In keeping with tradition for school leaders, I had my emotional break-down last week (it apparently happens on week 7 for most leaders).  My only staff person (who is helping me carry the load of the school) has been sick for almost 2 weeks now which has left me to carry the school on my own (mostly).  It's amazing though how it seems God's grace has increased during this time.  So, after having a good cry, I "girded up my garments" and decided to press on.  It's funny, my last few days have been amazing! I guess it's safe to say that these last few weeks have been officially up and down for me.  I just love going through the refining fire, don't you :)

Other than outburst of tears and craziness, not much else has been going on. I'm beginning to help plan for a trip to Nepal in October.  As part of a vision from 2007, we are taking our first group of Indonesians to Nepal for their first international mission trip.  Many Indonesians don't understand that they too can go and take the Gospel to other nations.....that they too are called to "Go and make disciples".  We're pushing to see the Indonesian Church mobilized into other nations and this October, we're seeing our first trip out of that attempt......Praise God!!

Well, if you're praying for me, then here are 2 prayer request:

1) That God will grow me in the areas that need to be grown through this refining time during the school

2) My finances are a bit short now and I need  enough to pay for this Nepal trip.  Please ask God to show me ways I can see the financial help come in.  Thanks!

PICTURE TIME!!!

My house.   I share this house with 8 other girls
(9 girls total from 7 different countries)

You can imagine the different languages I hear everyday and also the different smells from all the international cooking happening in the kitchen.  I smell things from fried food (that's me) to fish seasoning (that's the Asians).  It's amazing!
My room.  I share my room with 3 other girls
