School and other stuff

Yes, I know it's shocking that I've actually decided to update my blogspot again. But, miracles do happen! So, as I'm diving once again into the world of updates, I see that I have a lot to update. The last time I updated, I was well into staffing the training school for the first time. Of course, that was 3 months ago. What have I been doing since????

As hard as it seems to believe, even now, I am LEADING that school. The school I help with is called the School of Frontier Missions (SOFM). The school is held 3 times a year: January, April, and July. Back in June, I was asking God one morning what He wanted me to do once the April school was over. Very clearly, I heard Him say "you're going to lead the July SOFM". I laughed because nobody had even mentioned to me about leading anything. Well, that afternoon, my leader comes to me and asks me to pray about.......I'll give you one guess......yep! pray about leading the July SOFM. Again, I laughed.

So, that's what I've been doing since July. It's been pretty crazy, but a good growing process. Leading the school is a completely different dynamic from just staffing. I have 4 students and 1 new staff. So, not only am I getting a crash course on being a leader of a school, I'm training someone how to be a staff member. Crazy!

One last note before the pictures begin. You may notice that I have used several words I have avoided up until now. I have decided that security isn't something I should worry about at the moment since I am based out of Australia. So, no more code writing for me and no more crazy interpreting for you.....whoohoo!

Alright......may the pictures begin! Due to my lack of photographic skills and ambitions, there is a lack of photos this post. But! I assure you that I will whip that camera back out and start clicking away for the next post :)

the other weekend, my friend had his birthday party. he completely broke the standard of a typical YWAM party and pulled out all the stops! i think half of a cow got brought in for this event! below is the proof:

scary as it seems, these are my neighbors.......the YWAM guys. the guy on the right is the birthday boy (the one missing from the picture is the guy in the pic above)

and, here is me....embracing my carnivorish, cave-man side

i guess i inspired some of the guys to go for it
i love that my cousin posted these pics on facebook so i could use them. this is one of my favorite pics of my brother, sisters, and me

Finally! praise report:

my house, which have been plagued by mice, have caught up to 9 mice in the last 7 days. whoohoo!
