I was a part of a 2-week seminar about work around the world. Here is the class right after we simulated a service conducted in the Islamic style.....don't the guys look like sailors?
This past month has been quite busy for me. In the beginning of April, we got ready for the April training schools to start. There are several schools that are ran in April from basic discipleship training to worship to reaching frontiers. As part of the prep, the other staff (Tobi) and I prepare the classroom (pic below), work on the welcome packets, and various administration things. Now, we are 3 weeks into our school and it's going great! I meet with the school leader and Tobi to pray for our school Monday through Friday at 6:30 in the morning. So, I'm learning how to talk to Him WITHOUT coffee.....which I consider a great leap in my life of learning :)As part of the school, I also am "in charge" of 2 students. This means I meet with them once a week to see how they are doing (school, relationships with people, relationships with God, ect). I also try to be there for them anytime they need. One girl is from Brazil and is having a hard adjusting to the busy life here at the base....please pray for her. The other girl just announced that she is pregnant (she IS married) so that will be interesting. Pray for me :)
Other than school stuff, I'll be starting to plan a trip back to Jakarta. This will hopefully take place in July. Why? I want to take university students to Nepal for their first workers trip. I am really stoked. For the last couple of weeks, God has been giving me a real heart to see the family-group in Indonesia come alive. Many are dead by being completely inward focused. Also, many of them don't think they CAN be workers like me because they are not white. I say that's rubbish! So, my heart is to see them go out and take the truth that has set them free to others.......whether it's to the slum next door or to the country next door. I believe in order to reach all the unreached people groups in Indo, you must reach the local family-group.
I'm charged with this new desire. It will take A LOT of planning and time. But, isn't He worth it? Thank you for all your prayers. I hope you know that when you pray for nations, you change nations. I wouldn't be a part of this great vision if you weren't a part of it. If a worker on the field doesn't have a good prayer support at home, I don't think they last long. So, thank you. I'm still here because of you. Blessings! Enjoy the pics!

Back in the states, my family got together for Easter. Of course i had to post my darling nieces because they are just so darn cute!

Due to very long days, I have come to appreciate the art of coffee beans. Here, I am loving on my favorite coffee: Gloria Jeans Caramel
Each school here on our base is assigned a classroom. Tobi and I are in charge of designing and setting up the classroom. One of the walls is black and we found it to be perfect for using street chalk for drawing: problem solved! The theme verse for our school is: You did not choose me but I chose you to bear fruit......fruit that will last (remember, the school focuses on cities....thus the city)
