Heading Out Again!

The past few weeks have been pretty uneventful. After attending and having several kinds of celebrations and such, it was time to focus on the next tast on hand: planning a trip to Indonesia. Yes, I am heading back! But this time, it's only for 2 weeks.

A few months ago, I joined a team that focuses on discipleship and helping our fellow groups in Indonesia. As part of this, we wanted to give them a chance to take the great news to another country; such as Nepal. Though many great things are happening in that country, many are still under the inpression that white people (or any foreigners) should be the ones giving into their lives. They can't do what we do. Well, we want to show them that the book that tells us to help our neighbor is the same book that they have and tells them the same thing. It's not a foreinger's job.

So, my teammate and I are heading to 3 different locations to work with our organization and other groups to plan a trip later this year. This trip would be primarily made up of Indonesians and they will be the ones taking the good news to other countries. How exciting is that? We will also work along side them in their home towns to show them that they can not only help the world, but also help their neighbors in the slum and beyond.

Please be thinking of me as I travel these next 2 weeks. I will be busy with meeting coordinators, planning with leaders, and teaching at family groups.
