Back In The Saddle Again

Yes, yes! I'm back in school.....with all of its reading, reports, and waiting until the last minute to get it all done! No, but really.  If anything college taught me, it was NOT to put homework off until the last minute and the only place open is Waffle House with Roerto, the ex-con cook and Sue,the one-tooth waitress (ah!!! those were the days).

No, despite popular belief, I have matured and am now doing homework and research almost every night!  I'm becoming very moved by the research I'm doing for my final.  I am doing it on the Aceh people group in Indonesia (don't worry Mom, I'm not moving to the Aceh area....yet :).  I'm learning that the Aceh area was the place where Islam entered into Indonesia (the largest Muslim population in the world today) and the hardest hit from the 2006 tsunami (about 230,000 people died and 500,000 lost their homes).   If you want to know more about this people group, you can find them at "www.joshuaproject.com".

So, what else is going on in the life of Kellie? Well, my pictures below should say most of it.  My class has been busy with fundraising to help those that still owe lecture fees.  We had a bake sale and a "sausage sizzle" (we sold hot dogs outside of a hardware store).  He has provided mightly and our class only needs $2000 more (down from $4500 from 2 weeks ago!).  My classmates and I are having a lot of fun together (as seen below) and we help each other with our research/homework.  That's pretty much it.  Our Father has been doing some mighty things in me and I'm looking forward to see where all He's taking me.

Thank you all for keeping me before His seat! If you want to see more pics, I'm on facebook (under Kellie Jean Williams) and have a lot more there.

I past a waffle place in the city and my American cravings just had to have one....not as good as Waffle House though

My base had a black and white dance party....so, we were ganstas

My life group (thanks Veverka Class!) sent me an awesome care-package with some cornbread mix.  I made it and introduced my international class to the ways of the South.....they loved it!

My class made doughnuts for a class           fundraiser....mmmm!!!!

The boys made cookies for our bake-sale......
as you can see, they REALLY got into it!

My class was taught for a week by Diana Thomas....she spent 3 1/2 months in a Taliban prison during 9/11.....quit a powerful testimony
