the past few months

As it has been a while since i have updated my blog, let me give you an overview of what's been going on.

April
First, the school I was leading ended in April.  The students went off to a secured location in Asia to work with people there to reach the unreached.  It's always hard for me to send my students away as I will miss them and a big part of me wishes I were going with them.

They are now living there studying the language and building relationships with the people.

April - June
Once the school was over, I wasted no time in preparing for the next school (which begins in July). I was emailing potential students, lining up guest speakers, preparing the schedule, etc.  And of course, doing a lot of praying!  April, May, June.......nothing happened.  The potential students dropped out (all but 1) and next thing I knew, I had no school to run.  I didn't know what to expect or what to do.  Of course, God opens another door.

July-August
Early July, I was asked by a YWAM base in South East Asia to help staff a 2-week training seminar for people who are or will be doing church planting (mostly in closed countries).  After praying about it, I felt this was the route to take.  So, I spent almost 3 weeks helping people understand how to make a master plan to see their people group reached with the Gospel and what they need to do to reach their end goals.

The training itself included hearing people's stories of how God is moving.  Through their stories, my heart got reignited for the unreached.  They need to hear and understand what Jesus did for them.  But how will they hear if no one tells them?  How will they tell them unless they go?  We need people out there.  The harvest is ready.  Did you know there are thousands of Muslims who are having dreams of "a man in white"?  I met one.  He was a part of an unreached people group I know.  He was a Muslim witch doctor but he told us that he has had "many" dreams of a man in white.  We tried to share with him what we could but we were on the island for just 2 days and we didn't see him much.  Please pray that he will come to know this man he dreams about.
The training class I helped staff.  I can't show any faces (except the teacher)
due to the secure locations these students work in

The training was held on an island that is mostly Hindu.
There was some sort of Hindu festival happening while there.
Here is one of the many processions we saw (taking food and things
to their idols in worship).  It was really sad

I guess this guy wasn't too into it.....chatting away on his cell phone like that

I sat on the beach one night and this is what i saw

Now
As of now, I am working to promote our school to the students on base (about 100).  At the same time, I am helping with a team that deals with people who want to come to our base to volunteer without having to take a DTS (we call them "Mission Builders").  There is no one but one on the team right now and he is overwhelmed with a lot of others ministries he's having to lead.  So, I'm helping him out for the time to get all the info organised and also relating to the people who want to come.

Future

We as a base have focused a lot of our outward ministry on London this year.  Though London seems like the perfect little holiday retreat, it's far from nice.  The spiritual atmosphere in that place is dark and getting darker.  God has impressed on us to go and work with the local churches to get out there and help their fellow country men.

Soon, our teams will be pulling out to let the church continue the harvest in that city.  But, before we do, we hold a massive mission conference in which we challenge the youth to "get out there".  Whether that means go out to their neighbourhoods or out to the world with the Gospel.  This conference is in the end of October and God has told me to go.  I will be there a week before to help prepare, the week of to help wherever they need me, and possibly a week after to reconnect with some people I use to work with.

Other than that, I will continue working toward the SOFM and pray we see breakthrough next year in student numbers.

Thanks and have a great day!!!

I got the chance to go to a dairy farm one day.
This little calf was extremely friendly....it was SO cute!
